Chiva Som

A luxury health retreat overlooking the Gulf of Siam and set amidst tropical gardens 210 km south of Bangkok, Chiva Som has become one of the most famous spas in the world since opening in 1995. It is here that Liz Hurley reportedly came to get her figure back post pregnancy and supermodel Kate Moss is just one of the many celebrities to have visited in recent years. There are 57 rooms and suites and accommodation is in guest pavilions inspired by tradition Thai architecture with Western style guest rooms also available.

Food

Two restaurants, Emerald Restaurant serving international spa cuisine and Taste of Siam Restaurant serving traditional Thai cuisine - all meals are designed to be low in fat and calories and include meat, fish and vegetarian options. Wine or champagne served only with dinner.

Facilities

All the facilities you would expect from a top spa including sauna, steam, Jacuzzi and hydrotherapy. A wide range of daily fitness classes including yoga, body conditioning and aqua aerobics with specialist pavilions for yoga and Tai Chi and a Pilates studio. There are also a variety of arts and craft classes and workshops are regularly held by visiting consultants.

Treatments

More than 100 treatments, 45 treatment rooms and 80 therapists. You can choose from a huge range of treatments for every part of the body including a Chiva Som signature milk bath, Siam Ritual Cocoon and Chiva Som Skin Haven Facial which uses Thai herbs and floral essences to cleanse and heal he skin. As well as beauty treatments there are a number of holistic health treatments available including acupressure, iridology and homeopathy.
