SHANGHAI (Reuters) - Four employees of mining giant Rio Tinto stood trial in China on Monday, in a case closely watched by foreign investors nervous about navigating a booming economy with often murky legal boundaries.

MELBOURNE (Reuters) - Global miner Rio Tinto reported a 6 percent fall in second-half profit on Thursday, before $9.3 billion (5.8 billion pounds) in writedowns mainly on its aluminium business, but appeased investors with a massive dividend hike.
